California Yacht Club hosted the Cal Cup in Marina del Rey, CA from June 25-27 for 31 J/70s warming-up for the August World Championship at the same venue. Over eight races, Ryan McKillen’s Surge gained the victory with 30 points. Following were Joel Ronning’s Catapult (33 points) and Brian Keane’s Savasana (37 points).
