Santa Barbara Yacht Club has hosted its Fiesta Cup for decades. In addition, this year they added a J/Fest Regatta for two successive weekends of sailing.
In the J/70, winning each event was Ryan Cox’s Ventura Yacht Club team on DJ. In both, the DJ team scored lots of bullets and deuces. For the Fiesta Cup, it was Scott Deardorff’s crew on CAKE who took second place. Third went to Pat Toole’s 3 BIG DOGS crew. For J/Fest, it was Toole’s BIG DOGS who took the silver, while Bruce Cooper’s NIMBUS was third.
