The new edition of the Helly Hansen Sailing World Regatta Series Detroit was hosted by Bayview Yacht Club in Detroit, MI from May 31-June 2. On the final day, the late afternoon southerly streaked out of the Detroit River and blue skies returned. By all accounts it was a perfect weekend of racing with light to moderate winds + socials hosted by Bayview Yacht Club. Tod Sackett’s team on USA 313 won the six-boat J/70 fleet and the inaugural J/70 Mixed-Plus National Championship.
